2. What do I need to check before starting the install of the Garage Gator?
Before attempting installation, read the owner’s manual thoroughly. Cautiously inspect the mounting area to be sure it is adequate to safely install the model you have selected. Also, confirm the availability of an 110-volt grounded outlet. Be sure to wear protective gear such as safety glasses, and follow all precautions regarding electrical and ladder safety.
6. Once installed, how do I make the bike bar level?
Lower the unit all the way down. Be careful not to lower so much it reverses direction.
Once lowered, raise the cables with the bike bar attached, and manually guide the cable that hangs straight down from the motor so that it spools side to side evenly on the spool.
Please Note: when the unit is packaged, the cabling is wound very tightly around the spools. When the plastic strapping is cut, the cable tends to go every which way, causing it to become uneven on the spool.

The Garage Gator is engineered and manufactured to be as safe to install and operate as possible. Two key safety features are the upper limit switch, which prevents upward movement of the hook bar once the uppermost travel point is reached, and the key lock hand control unit, which prevents the unit from operating unless the key is switched to the "ON" position.

Very little! Periodically check the condition of the electrical cords, plugs, and controls. Also, periodically check to be sure the motor is properly attached to its mounting plate and that all bolts are tight.

You may return your Garage Gator for credit within 30 days of the original purchase date. The cost of the Garage Gator will be credited less the shipping charges.
